There are lot of software out there which will let you shutdown or restart your PC on a predefined time. TweetMyPC lets you do the same thing but it lets you do it remotely.

TweetMyPC uses twitter to get its shutdown/Restart/LogOff commands. All you have to do is download TweetMyPC and Create a new twitter account for your pc.

Whenever you want to shutdown or restart your pc, just post a new Tweet (shutdown, restart, logoff) and TweetMyPC does it for you.

On January 9th, the Windows 7 Beta will be available for Windows enthusiasts to download via the Windows 7 page on Windows.com. The Windows 7 Beta is going to be available download-only and available for a limited time to the first 2.5 million people who download the beta.

I installed windows 7 day before yesterday and I am posting this from IE running on windows 7 . To be honest I am not the right person to write a review for 2 reasons. Firstly I have not used Vista more than a week (Yeah! I use Vista for just 1 week). So I cannot compare Vista with Windows 7.

Secondly windows 7 is still under Beta and I feel there is still time for a review to be made.

At the first look I liked W7 more than Vista. The best part is that I was able to install my Vista drivers in W7. I was able to to install Google talk, Office and some other applications.

Vista was the worst OS Microsoft ever released. I am eagerly waiting for this baby to come out

Inspired by Google Talk design, suddenly I thought of developing a Twitter App for windows based on Google Talk design.

Its nearing completion and soon it will be available for download here. Its developed using VB.net and soon I will be posting the source code in codegeeks.

Here is a preview of jata. Oh yeah! I named it jata. Its nothing but just another Twitter app.

1. Login screen

2. Once Logged in jata shows the recent tweets just like new mails in Google Talk.

3. jata periodically checks for updates and alerts us.

4. You can check for the new message and post your status right from jata!
