Translate your emails in Gmail

One more useful feature of Gmail Labs – Email Translation. Enable it in the Labs settings, and next time you see a mail written in a language other than your own, you can hit the link reading e.g. “Translate message to: English” above, and the message will magically appear in English.

Lenovo laptops service sucks!

I own a HP compaq laptop and so far I am more than happy with its performance. I had some issues with it once and HP service was excellent.

I used to fight with my friend who owns a Lenovo laptop. I used to find every reason to show him his laptop is nothng but a piece of &^$^$. :) .. Now I have some solid proof. Read this real life experience about a friend who owns a Lenovo Laptop.

Windows Mobile 6.5 and My Phone from Microsoft

At the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Microsoft presented a demonstration of the Windows Mobile 6.5, and My Phone.

The Windows Mobile 6.5 would be released in the second half of 2009, which will only be available as the pre-installed OS on new devices. Windows Mobile 6.5 comes with a hexagon-based layout rather than the default grid layout. The hexagon layout almost matches with the shape of the fingertip’s point of contact, making it an intuitive design choice.

Is feedburner dead or is it only for me?

For the past one week the number of subscribers shown in feedburner is down by 50% . I thought this must be a temporary issue but I am still seeing wrong number of feed subscribers. Is Feedburner dead?

Gmail introduced video chat this week. Do you want to watch your favourite movie with your friend who lives miles away? Do you want to show some one how to use a software/fix a PC error? Wouldn’t it be cool if we can do this right from our Gmail video chat window?

Microsoft unveils `cloud computing’ product

Microsoft Corp. is taking another step into the world of Web-based computing with a new system it’s calling Windows Azure.

Microsoft says it’s joining Amazon.com Inc. and other rivals in selling information storage space and computing power “in the cloud,” distributed across massive data centers worldwide. That will let companies build Web-based programs without having to manage their own data centers.

Microsoft’s chief software architect, Ray Ozzie, described Azure to software developers at a conference Monday in Los Angeles. Ozzie said that managing Microsoft’s own Web sites and Web-based programs has made the company adept at anticipating Web traffic spikes and knowing when to ramp up some computers and dial down others.
