Save images from websites

22 Aug, 2008  |  Written by shoban  |  under Computer Tips

Today I saw a friend of mine struggling to save an image from a website. He took a screen shot of the website, opened paint and pasted the screen shot, croped out the unwanted part and finally saved the required image.

Most of us don’t know that browsers provide us the option to save images from website. One simplest way is to simply drag the image (click and drag) to the desktop or a folder. Have you tried this?

Below are some other ways to do it.

Here is how you do in Internet explorer. Simply right click the image choose Save picture as.

Firefox makes it even more sweeter by giving us the option to view the image (alone) before saving it. Simply right click the image and choose View image then you can decide whether to save it (by right click -> Save image as) or not.
