This is not terribly surprising seeing that the last figures we got suggested that most Wii owners use their console less then 2 times weekly. According to Kotaku, 80% of American female gamers prefer the Wii (meaning they actually use one), over the graphical rich Xbox 360 and PS3. What can we learn from this? Female gamers are more interested in helping to rescue Princess Zelda or Princess Peach then keeping back the hordes in GOW2 or defending the U.S in MW2.
As for the specific percentage difference between female and male gamers, that would be 22 million, (11.7mm female and 33.3mm). So at least Nintendo can boast that they’ve won the hearts of the ladies, Microsoft and Sony, look whose taking who to bed tonight..
