Today accidentally I came upon this page in Indiatimes shopping and was shocked to see the contents. (Clcick to enlarge)
The laptop shown in the page is Compaq presario v3225au model. I bought this laptop about 5 months back. And running Ubuntu and XP successfully. I was shocked to see the price. The page says
MRP : Rs 53,900
You Save : Rs 17,000
Price Now : Rs 36,290
I bought this laptop for 35,000. This amount includes 2500 additional cost for 512 MB RAM. The above is nothing but CHEATING.
This laptop is no longer available from HP. They are selling it for Rs.3790 more than the normal price and claim we save 17,000.
I checked some other products in their site and same is the case with most of the items. They are selling a HTC phone for 16,000 (They called it reduced price) where as it costs only 14,000+ in the market. There are many other websites like these. www.wowdeals.co.in is another website which claims to sell products at discounted rate. Lets have a look at those.
Sonyericsson K750i : Price : 9000+ and You save : 12,000+
Sonyericsson W810i : Price : 12,000+ and you save 16,000+
They call these GREAT BRANDS GREAT DEALS. I think these websites should be shutdown. What do you say?

offline much like ebay.

The products sold through indiatimes shopping are mostly done through those
third rated stores which you can find at many places where they sell pirated and duplicate
or chinese stuff and i have had very bad experiences with Indiatimes shopping many times
due to this and i have stopped buying electronic items through them.

It seems that they have been doing well planned and intentional fraud by
aggressively promoting their 50% cash back offer which the customer never gets in
reality.
I had purchased Rs 5000/worth goods but I have never received any cash back

I wanted to send 3 cakes to 3 different families in
Delhi for Christmas. I purchased the cakes on indiatimesshopping and each time i would get
a message stating insufficient payment. Only to realize after 11 tries that they charged
me RS 757 each time. Now when i called them they refused to refund my money back. they are
saying they will give me giftcards that i have no use for. any reputable company would
accept their mistake and refund the money in a case like this. it was a technical issue
with their own site. why should i loose 8300 rupees for 3 cakes that was never
delivered?

@Shaji .. Thats very sad to hear! Its completely unfair. Why dont you raise a complaint
in consumer court?

well, since i was going nowhere with them either through
the phone or email, i made the smart decision to despute all the charges through my credit
card company. i received all + finance charges back. well it would have been nice if they
returned my money back. what they lost, they will never get back which is me and many
others like me. will NEVER shop again at indiatimes shopping..!!!!!

I ordered for a car cd
player they said they will deliver in 13 days, but no delivery even after 22 days. Adv
said pay by cheque on delivery then I got a call for cheque collection the lady said we
are the cheque collection agency and the product will be delivered after 15 days. This is
rediculious. I have decided not to buy from them after reading all your experiences.

India times shopping is
a matherchod company, and the main matherchods are the times group who launch their own
ads in their own fucking papers.

Not only website, even
advertisements in print media are fraud several times.
I bought a laptop charger
from Maars Computers in Gurgaon after reading a newspaper ad 4 months back. I was very
hapy initially because he gave me 6 months GUARANTEE (I have the bill with details
mentioned) and gave home delivery for that. However, I was mistaken. That charger did not
work just after 7 days. Since then, I am calling him again and again. Wasted on phone
calls more amount than the price of charger. But he is not replacing it. He definitely
cheated. Later on, I bought the charger from sector 14 at half the price with the same
warranty.
I advice you all to be aware of such shops and be careful while buying any
items from local shops

Recently they have started spamming corporate mail boxes with shopping offers from promogifts@indiatimes.com . They have a unsubscribe link at the bottom and it is not effective.
Everybody should inform Cyber Cell regarding cheating by Indiatimes and it should be published in local newspapers.
A WHOIS lookup displays Manish Jain, as the domain owner and address as:
I world tower
Dlf phase V, opp golf course sector road,
Gurgaon
Haryana,122002
Phone:01244187000
Nobody is properly responding to calls and does not know who Manish Jain is. I am planning to inform the Internet Registrars about this and their spamming activities.

I read in Pune Mirror about the Trouble shooters who is helping in solving public issues.
I have given the info to Pune Trouble shooters. But nothing happened.
They did not even responded for my mail saying will be resolved or not, what further step to be taken to over come these kind of problems.
I think they also have hands with Shopping Indistimes.
The Consumer court should come up to help consumers who is being cheated from the agencies.

I had asked for a car combo product now for more than one month, i was told cheque will be collected from your jhome in 48 hours, no one ever came to collect. I enquired twicw within a span of 20 days to my astonoshment each time same reply. Also they are advertising samsung wave for 18460/- that too with a discount but its available in the market for 17300/- What a fraud company, cheating people outright.
Is it really has somthing to with Times of India???? then the that too is fraud giving you nonsense news.

Shopping India Times is bull shit. They have tie up with all bloody poor dealers like Ojjas Enterprices.
I had purchased Spy Pen Cam thr’ Shopping India Times. They had sent non working pen with non working USB. I had enquired strongly & some how I had asked to return. I said them to pay me back, but they said will be replaced. When I got the new product again same non working condition.
I asked Shopping India times to help. They were showing towards Ojjas Enterprices. If they can not look towards these kind of complaints, why should deal with Ojjas. They should bring them to Consumer court & ban them from the market.
First of all Consumer court should active & remove these kind of shopping sites who are sending non working items.
I request all my friends not to shop anything from Shopping India Times.
