Today accidentally I came upon this page in Indiatimes shopping and was shocked to see the contents. (Clcick to enlarge)

The laptop shown in the page is Compaq presario v3225au model. I bought this laptop about 5 months back. And running Ubuntu and XP successfully. I was shocked to see the price. The page says

MRP : Rs 53,900

You Save : Rs 17,000

Price Now : Rs 36,290

I bought this laptop for 35,000. This amount includes 2500 additional cost for 512 MB RAM. The above is nothing but CHEATING.

This laptop is no longer available from HP. They are selling it for Rs.3790 more than the normal price and claim we save 17,000.

I checked some other products in their site and same is the case with most of the items. They are selling a HTC phone for 16,000 (They called it reduced price) where as it costs only 14,000+ in the market. There are many other websites like these. www.wowdeals.co.in is another website which claims to sell products at discounted rate. Lets have a look at those.

Sonyericsson K750i : Price : 9000+ and You save : 12,000+

Sonyericsson W810i : Price : 12,000+ and you save 16,000+

They call these GREAT BRANDS GREAT DEALS. I think these websites should be shutdown. What do you say?

The products sold through indiatimes shopping are mostly done through those

a message stating insufficient payment. Only to realize after 11 tries that they charged

me RS 757 each time. Now when i called them they refused to refund my money back. they are

saying they will give me giftcards that i have no use for. any reputable company would

accept their mistake and refund the money in a case like this. it was a technical issue

    Not only website, even

advertisements in print media are fraud several times.

    I bought a laptop charger

from Maars Computers in Gurgaon after reading a newspaper ad 4 months back. I was very

hapy initially because he gave me 6 months GUARANTEE (I have the bill with details

mentioned) and gave home delivery for that. However, I was mistaken. That charger did not

work just after 7 days. Since then, I am calling him again and again. Wasted on phone

calls more amount than the price of charger. But he is not replacing it. He definitely

cheated. Later on, I bought the charger from sector 14 at half the price with the same

    warranty.
I advice you all to be aware of such shops and be careful while buying any

    items from local shops

Recently they have started spamming corporate mail boxes with shopping offers from promogifts@indiatimes.com . They have a unsubscribe link at the bottom and it is not effective.

Everybody should inform Cyber Cell regarding cheating by Indiatimes and it should be published in local newspapers.

A WHOIS lookup displays Manish Jain, as the domain owner and address as:

    I world tower
Dlf phase V, opp golf course sector road,
    Gurgaon
    Haryana,122002

    Phone:01244187000

Nobody is properly responding to calls and does not know who Manish Jain is. I am planning to inform the Internet Registrars about this and their spamming activities.

Shopping India Times is bull shit. They have tie up with all bloody poor dealers like Ojjas Enterprices.

I had purchased Spy Pen Cam thr’ Shopping India Times. They had sent non working pen with non working USB. I had enquired strongly & some how I had asked to return. I said them to pay me back, but they said will be replaced. When I got the new product again same non working condition.
I asked Shopping India times to help. They were showing towards Ojjas Enterprices. If they can not look towards these kind of complaints, why should deal with Ojjas. They should bring them to Consumer court & ban them from the market.
First of all Consumer court should active & remove these kind of shopping sites who are sending non working items.
I request all my friends not to shop anything from Shopping India Times.
