With its 5.6″ screen and 1.56 pounds Weight, the U810 is the smallest Windows PC that available with a traditional convertible notebook design, and evaluated in the high geek-o-meter. It is almost half the price of the OQO model 02 at the time and had a better keyboard and much better battery life. A year and a half makes up a long time in the world of technology, and U810 charms have declined with the introduction of low cost netbooks and significant price drops for the OQO. Sony Vaio P Series launched its ultra-portable, weighing only a little less than the Fujitsu, but the sport is much bigger keyboard and a higher resolution, larger screen. Then , Fujitsu launched the 2nd generation of Fujitsu Lifebook U820 in late 2008 with the updated specifications and a GPS.
With a price of $ 1049 is obviously the price of cheapie NETBOOK category and instead joins the ranks of the top UMPCs and second generation of micro PC with Intel Atom processors, namely, the OQO model Sony Vaio 02 + and P. The Sony Vaio P is more lightweight 1.4 lbs. and is considerably thinner – thin enough to fall into a back pocket, but the time to 9.65 inch sticks out of the pocket. The Vaio P lacks a touch screen and tablet so if these features are important to you, which is close to the selection and the OQO model 02 Fujitsu U820. The U820’s keyboard is very small, but it is still a traditional design unlike OQO keyboard that has a BlackBerry-esque thumb board. The Fujitsu Lifebook U820 also offers thanks to the excellent battery life, high-capacity 5200 mAh Lithium Ion battery that gives you a U Quasimodo hump.
Compared with the price of netbooks like the Aspire One and Eee PC, Fujitsu offers a lot: incredibly small and medium-weight, super battery life, a 1.3MP camera, GPS (and good) with Garmin Mobile, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, 802.11n WiFi Atheros (most netbooks just 802.11b / g) and a higher resolution screen in this Fujitsu Lifebook U820.
In terms of appearance, the Fujitsu Lifebook U820 looks and feels well made and we like the black shiny compared to the top of the clear lid U810. Also like the all-black side in comparison with the silver trim on the U810. The high capacity battery is strange that out of the back, but make a great handle and allows the machine to run up to 7 hours! In all respects, the U820 looks like a Teeny-tiny traditional notebook convertible. It has a scoop design with a style of miniature portable keyboard, ports on the sides and front, a mobile slide switch and LED indicators for charging, wireless and hard disk activity. At 6 x 6.73 x 1.46 inches, is quite small, but thick.
Conclusion
Obviously, a 5.6″ display miniature Windows PC is a niche item. If you need a computer with Windows more wherever you go, the Fujitsu U820 lightweight and small size are easy on the back and is so small that no scream “steal me†like a full-sized notebook. U820 is the ability to work in MS Office, email, web and all kinds of light work. Just do not expect the results of desktop replacement – in fact, do not expect to use as a portable video player, either. The market has changed from the U810 was released in 2007 and now the Fujitsu Lifebook U820 faces stiff competition from the OQO model 02 + and not the Sony Vaio P. s no longer significantly cheaper than Other trademarks and OQO is more portable, the Vaio P is a very useful touch-typeable keyboard, larger screen, integrated EVDO Rev. A and drop dead good looks. What the Fujitsu U820 offers extreme is the duration of the battery (the Vaio P, with an extension of hours the battery drops below the U820) and a notebook PC design family.
Pro: Fujitsu Lifebook U820 is unbelievably portable! Marvelous battery lifespan.
With a high resolution 5.6 “display text is too small, even whenever you’ve great eyes. Digitiser not want to go back to a lower screen resolution. Costly and desirable options such as 3G and add a SSD drive up the price actually . The truth is that no touch-typeable unless very thin fingers and coordinated.
