Add background music to your orkut scrapbook
Update 1 : One of the difficult step in this tutorial is converting the song to swf format. Admiyn suggested an easy way of doing it. Check out his sugestion here.
Update 2 : I get loads of scraps from visitors complaining that this is not working for them. This is because of one reason. Please note this script will not work if your scrap book is locked by you.Anyway what is the point in adding BG music if others cant listen to it 
Here is a simple trick to greet your scrap book visitors with a back ground music of your own. To do this you need two things
- mp3 to swf converter : Download any of the free mp3 to swf converts available in the Internet. Convert any music of your choice to swf format. Make sure that you choose a small clip so that visitors don’t have to wait long to listen to your music.
- A free storage space in the Internet : Sign up to any of the free sstogare space service and upload your swf file to a folder which is accessible to everyone. I have used google pages : http://www.pages.google.comin my example.
Now lets start adding the code to do this trick in your scrapbook. Login to your orkut account and go to your “Scrapbook” Page. Simply copy and paste the below code in you scrapbook (add a new scrap to your profile). Make sure you change the path(marked in red) of the music file before you scrap.
Update: Many visitors complained that the code did not work. I have uploaded a text file with the code. http://www.crankup.net/wp-content/uploads/orkutscrap.txt .Please open this file and copy the contents to orkut scrap book.

Thanks for the comment. Try copying the code to a note pad and then pasting it in your scrap book from there. I think rich text (instead of code) is being copied from the post.

Thnx for your tips , i tried adding background music to my orkut account the way you have suggested but the scrap does not get posted .I tried copying from the notepad but that too does not work .

Thanks for your comments. I think the richtext format in my post is causing this issue.
Follow these steps.
1. Copy the code above to notepad
2. Search for ” (quotes) and you will notice that they are in italics. Change them to normal quotes and paste the code in orkut scrap book. You can add this code to any orkut scrapbook.

How did you convert your music to swf file?
How did you generate your code? There should not be any controls unless you generated your code using any freeware.
It is not possible to play the music continously. You will have to paste the code individually for all the pages. So when ever there is a new page in your scrap book add this code

Visit http://www.pages.google.com and register for a free web space. For your scrap book to play song, the song needs to be in a place where orkut can access. Meaning it should be somewhere in the internet.
Googpages lets you upload files and access it any where. If you need more information. Please let me know.

Thanks for the comments. I think youhave uploaded a large file. In that case yo will have to wait for the browser to load the song to play (Which may take time depending on the size)

Keep the file size low because the bigger the file the more time it will take to start playing.
You just need to add one swf file. Sorry your question is confucing. Can you explain?

Per my understanding, any google account will work for another google service - this atleast works with Google Pages.
The trick is to sign up for Google Mail and you can use it with Google Pages.

I found a more easier way than convert to swf, my whay is just search your wanted song on youtube and when you found it, you look for incoporate script. It will be a think like that :
So, befor you put it in your scrap book, you need configure somethings, change with and height property to just 1, this step is to don’t appear the player, well, the second step is insert a parameter autostart=1 to video auto play when a user visit your scrap. Finally, your code should be like that:
now, do a test, put that code in your scrap book, and you can listen the song music in background.
